My Bio / Training

I didn't just decide one day to start offering Newborn Photography. I always loved babies and was always a natural around them but my passion for photographing newborns didn't start until 2015, following the birth of my nephew.  One session and let's just say I was hooked and something inside told me it was my calling!

Since then, I have become specialized in Posed-Newborn Photography.  I have extensive experience and am confident in  handling and soothing babies (and have the patience of a saint I'm told!).  In addition, I am trained in Newborn safety, as well as posing safety - essential skills every Newborn Photographer should have!

I am continually investing in Newborn Photography Education - completing and studying online courses covering lighting, wrapping techniques, and posing transition to keep current.

In February of 2018 , I was presented the opportunity to attend a 1:1 in-person Newborn Posing Mentorship alongside a very talented professional Newborn Photographer in Calgary named Hailey Hamilton - an investment that has been priceless to my career.  I was taught a full posing workflow wherein baby could be transitioned from one pose to the next, safely, with minimal movement, and how to execute each pose properly as to not put the baby in any distress or discomfort.

Choosing a photographer with little to no experience can result in you not getting the images you want, but more importantly , you could be putting your baby into the hands of someone who doesn't know how to handle them safely.

I am forever grateful and have to pinch myself almost daily that this my job.  I take everything about this type of photography very seriously and professionally!

I do it for the snuggles, and would would love to photograph your new addition!
